Cap it and ban the drilling -let’s be the world leaders and really embrace all the alternate energy sources!
I definitely agree with Val here! Even though I’m on the west coast, it was really distressing to see lots of oil on the beaches last weekend. Alternative energy has lots of good points (and doesn’t have to be nuclear scary!).

Unfortunately, our collective addiction to oil has caused this. Very sad.
The oil industry is sooooo powerful and has a grip on institutions and all of us including our representatives and senators in Washington. The Democrats need to prove they have a backbone and stand up to those who would fight against breaking the addiction. We need another “Manhatten Project”….after all, we did manage to go to the moon!
